Credibility Signals: UpCity Recommendability Rating Updates

UpCity’s mission is to help businesses find marketing providers they can trust. One way that we do that is by ranking service providers in our Marketplace by their UpCity Recommendability Rating. The UpCity Recommendability Rating uses a proprietary algorithm of various digital signals that measure credibility, visibility and recommendability. Those signals include domain authority, organic search presence, review count (on UpCity and third party sites), average review score, website speed, business listing consistency, UpCity profile completeness, and engagement. Our objective is to be transparent in our rating and provide marketing providers valuable insights into their score. We received a lot of feedback from both our Certified Partners and the businesses that use our site to find marketing providers that although there is still value in finding a partner within a business’ own metropolitan area, using Distance to City Center as a signal to measure recommendability was not relevant.
